Joanna Longawa

Joanna holds a master's degree in editorial studies from Jagiellonian University, the most prestigious educational institution in Poland. As the editor-in-chief of JL Interviews, a culture and lifestyle magazine published in English, Joanna combines her journalistic expertise with a passion for art and culture. Joanna has numerous collaborative projects with renowned photographers such as Daniele Flaiban, Jerzy Gnatowski, Andrea Checcotti, and others, who have made significant contributions to the visual storytelling of this talented journalist. In addition to her excellent writing skills and extensive experience in journalism, Joanna has also played a significant role in public relations and arts management. For the past four years, she has managed communications for international projects under the European Union initiative MarteLive Europe. Her experience as the head of the press office for renowned Italian artist Emiliano Donaggio demonstrates her ability to promote artistic endeavors on a large scale.

Joanna has also gained recognition as an author: her book "Le prove dell'esistenza" (Proof of Existence), published in Italy in 2020, earned her the prestigious "Premio Zurich" award and a special "Profumi D’Autrice Award" for her substantial contribution to literature. The book was a great success, and its Spanish version was released in 2023. Joanna aims to resist abuse and aggression through literature. In her works, she explores the impact of art on addressing social issues. She shows great concern for injustice, domestic conflicts, and women's suffering. Through her creativity, she seeks to protect, support, and express empathy. This desire and idea resonate powerfully in her interviews and articles.

Her work also serves as a reminder that art can be a source of strength and resilience, offering solace in times of turmoil.
